Equitas Speaking Rights Program, is a Human Rights Education program that aims at developing the capacity of youth to engage in actions that support respect for human rights. Young people participating in the Speaking Rights Program embark upon a process of empowerment guided by human rights values and principles.
This full day training is for Program Managers, Youth Workers and Youth Changemakers of youth-serving organizations participating in Speaking Rights 2018.
After this workshop, participants will be better equipped to:
- Describe how Equitas' approach to human rights education can support building a more equitable and inclusive community for youth
- Be better able to facilitate activities from the Speaking Rights Toolkit
- Identify opportunities to increase youth participation and inclusion within their work or their community
- Collaborate in national conversations about priority youth issues

Coffee, tea and snacks will be provided in the morning as well as lunch in the afternoon. You will also go back to your organizations our Speaking Rights Toolkit, which will help you implement what you have learned in the training.
